Cities show standard time unless marked as daylight saving; confirm the offset for your birth date. Places in the options are references only; selecting one does not automatically track historical time zones or daylight saving time. The default time zone is UTC-5. Choose the UTC offset that applied at your birthplace and birth date, including daylight saving time. The calculator does not detect daylight saving time automatically. Longitude is optional: east is positive and west is negative (for example, New York is -74). If provided, it is used for true solar time correction.
